Its cold out...thinking of warmer days.

I took a walk into the back Gangs of Legian. As the Gangs got narrower and slimmer the moped frequency increased. Waiting in wall pockets and crannies for passing two wheel traffic. I lost myself for a bit in the alleyway maze but was shortstopped at this slow moving, discolored river. It was more hushed in these far reaches from Jl.Legian. Murkey.

Walking around Legian, Bali

A lot of my time was spent in Legian.  If and when I return this will be my first destination again.  I would walk for hours and stare with my mouth ajar at what was going on around me.

Hong Kong

I stopped in Hong Kong for a few days to catch up with the millions of friends I made traveling there for work.  Hong Kong is the only city that is comparable to NYC in its size that I have been to.  I have such a love for HK.

Rice farming in Bali

I spent a lot of my time galavanting through the rice farms of Ubud.  Absolutely amazing views at every turn.

Stephen Landau

My friend came to meet me in Indonesia for a weekend while I was there.  Stephen lives with his beautiful wife May in Singapore.  Its only a 2.5 hour flight from Sing to Bali.  I am jealous.  Our 2 hours in flight would bring us to wonderful....Florida.

Check out his sight HERE!

My Water

Everytime I am in a place that I don't trust the water I find myself replacing my liquid intake with the local beer.  Especially in warm places its mostly light pilsners.  Bintang kept my thirst quenched.  Its only like 75 cents with the current exchange rates. Speaking of which when I got to Indo I was getting 9000 rpi for a dollar but by departure I was receiving 11500 rpi.  My money was growing.

In Bali

Sorry for the lack of posts this past few weeks but I have been fully romping through Bali. I will return to the US to vote on Nov. 4th and just hopefully our president turns black. I will be posting a rediculous amount of photos from Bali as I have been buying new memory cards to accomodate. Good shit. Good surf. Good ladies. Good food. I will return for sure. One thing I fear is the cold that has buried New York, otherwise ready to face reality.

The days since.

Sorry for no posts as of late.  Preparing for the rendevous in Hong Kong and Bali.  I also moved in the city, now gonna call Astoria home.  No more Bushwick.
Heres some shit.

The Sand Bar, Mastic Beach

Finally, I was within.  I must say there was a sense of fright before stepping through the doors.  It is original.  The current owner Lilian, has now worked there for 35 years but it dates to before the Hurricane of '38.  Details litter the place, accentuating and enhancing the days of the past.  From the pay phone booth with taxi numbers scrawled straight on the wall to the wooder ice boxes under the antique register.  The beer selection is run of the mill LI style, with the full spectrum of LIGHTS.  Full liquor selection.  I left in love.  My only suggestion is to pour some Bluepoint Lager from the taps, other than that I would'nt want to change the past at all.

Habitual Chicken Ritual, The Habitat, Brooklyn, Aug. 26th 2008

The event went off well. 10 minutes to eat as many chicken wings as possible.  Here are some dirty photos of the massacre.  Alex in first place and Arnie in second.

41 eaten 1st place.
35 eaten 2nd place.
