Mastic Summers on the way

In 1925 the idea that this was one of the last true Long Island environments was an advertising tool. Almost 85 years later, Mastic still has its original appeal. Its crazy how this place remains the way it does. Like Williamsburgs accessability to Lower Manhattan, Mastic's accessability to Fire Island is unbeatable.

Shout out to Mastic/Shirley Library. Those images I robbed them of.

Map of Trihamlet

I edited this a bit, taking friends houses off this but this is the map I hand over to friends that come out from the city. I got so sick of drawing little maps of how to get to TJ's, the beach, beer runs, friends places hosting other summertime parties, that I just ran-off a million of these. I just pulled it out since I am ramping up for the new season. I am going to re-draw. I will make it generic so if anyone wants to also use it they can download from this mother-effing blog.

Morton Wildlife Reserve and Osprey Park

Saturday was beautiful. Did some breakfast on the bay at Osprey Park after picking up a dope egg sandwich from TJ's Hero.
There was also a beautiful heroin needle in the childrens playground.

Than out to Morton Wildlife Refuge for a little hike with birds landing in our hands. Long Island is so good.
