Along the shores the color show hits first. The Twin Ponds sit quietly at the head waters of the Forge River.

The Larcombs
When I started getting into the world of surf and skateboarding it was 1989. I was just 10 years old. These two were already doing it for a few years. They taught me the ropes. That was 21 years ago. Holy shit. Time passed, love lives floated and sank, friends were buried, babies were built, miles were walked. They are still out there today, meeting up with me along the shores of LI doing exactly what we did for two decades.
Here's to two homies who never forgot where they came from.

Jianca Lazarus
I met Jianca when she was just 17 and just arrived from South Africa, skating the streets of Midtown Manhattan. At the time she was one of the only non-penis owner skateboarding with my crew. We crossed the country in a van for a Juice Magazine article that somehow she fanagled me a seat. Over the years we always kept in contact but a year here and a year there would go by without any sightings. I go to find out thats because she was fully immersed in surf culture. Here is her website. She is a great photographer.
